Description of Merger Mayhem |
"Merger Mayhem" is a hilarious gallop following a take-over of a very British insurance company by an aggressive American investment bank.
A change of mind, and targeting larger profits in Asian markets, sees the breaking up, and disposal of a City Firm, through the eyes of a 60s rock guitar playing Compliance Officer, a romantically smitten insurance clerk from the Isle of Man and a chaotic & neurotic sales director.
The author is George Pavlou, an insider to the banking, insurance and investment world for 30 years. He has served as a Director and senior manager for companies including Legal & General, Swiss Life and Citibank. As an interim executive he has worked in the City, Isle of Man and the Caribbean. He is an Economics graduate from London and a Chartered Insurer. He is now a Development Executive for HSBC Insurance Brokers, living with his wife Amanda in Tunbridge Wells.
George said, “The credit crunch is no laughing matter, I should know, it was my last redundancy that gave me the time to write this wonderful story.”
