Description of City of Thieves |
When business journalist Nic Lamparelli’s astute financial observations and impressively accurate economic analysis attract the attention of Larry Sikorski, Head of Research at of one of the world’s leading investment banks, his world is turned upside down. Lured into the square mile by a six figure salary and seduced by the promise of a seven digit bonus, Lamparelli abandons his career in journalism for life on the other side, quickly becoming Saracen Laing’s most valuable Telecom analyst and living the city boy life to the max.
The sweet smell of success soon sours when he learns of a plot to implicate him in an insider ring, and a deal set to destroy not only his life but the lives of those around him. In over his head, and not knowing who to trust, Nic battles to protect his honour and hold true to his principles.
But in a city of thieves, honour has no value…

About Cyrus Moore |
Cyrus Moore is the writing name of Cyrus Mewawalla, who was born in 1966 in Farnborough, England. He was educated at St Mary's International School, Tokyo and at Dulwich College, London. In 1988, he graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Economics.
In 2002, after 14 years in the City, he left the world of corporate banking to start a small research house with the objective of providing truly independent investment research, untainted by the conflicts of interest that have so badly tarnished the reputations of rival research analysts within larger investment banks. In 2006, Bloomberg ranked him the number one telecom analyst in the UK.
Cyrus lives in London with his wife and two children.
